Who we are

magnetchat provides the reading and chat experience on this page. The document you are reading is published by one of our customers (the publisher). The publisher decides why your data is collected; magnetchat processes it on their behalf.

In data protection terms: the publisher is the data controller, magnetchat is the data processor.

What we collect

The name and email you enter at the start, or that arrive with the link you were sent.

Your reading activity in this viewer: when you open the document, how far you read, time spent, and downloads.

Your chat messages and the AI assistant's replies, including your answer if the assistant asks about your situation.

One functional cookie that keeps your session. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

Why it is collected

So the publisher can follow up with you about the content you are reading, understand what interested you, and improve their materials. This is the publisher's legitimate interest in responding to people who requested their content, and it is disclosed to you before or at the moment of collection.

AI processing

Chat replies are generated by an AI model (Google Gemini). Your messages and the document are processed by Google Cloud to produce answers. Conversation state held by Google is automatically deleted within 55 days.

Where your data lives

We use these subprocessors: Google Cloud (document storage and AI processing), PlanetScale (database), and Vercel (hosting). Your data is not sold or shared with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Your lead record, reading activity, and chat transcript are retained while the publisher's account is active, so the publisher can act on them. You can ask for deletion at any time.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or object to its processing. Email privacy@magnetchat.com or contact the publisher directly. We honor requests within 30 days.
